Fixed hours, a shutdown ritual, and evenings that stay yours.

Your day-by-day plan

Week 1: Set the edges

  1. Day 1 Pick your start and end time. Tell your household.
  2. Day 2 5-minute walk around the block before logging in.
  3. Day 3 At your end time, write tomorrow's first task and close the laptop.
  4. Day 4 Walk to start, shutdown ritual to finish.
  5. Day 5 Same start and end. Notice when you are tempted to work late.
  6. Day 6 Plan one fully work-free weekend activity.
  7. Day 7 Review week 1 with your coach. Did your end time hold?

Week 2: Add real breaks

  1. Day 8 Eat lunch away from your desk.
  2. Day 9 Stand and stretch once every hour until lunch.
  3. Day 10 Lunch away from screens plus hourly breaks.

  5. Day 12 Full day: walk in, breaks, lunch away, walk out.
  6. Day 13 No work app notifications after your end time.
  7. Day 14 Review week 2 with your coach. Where does work still leak in?

Week 3: Protect the boundary

  1. Day 15 Full structure. Log your actual start and end times.
  2. Day 16 Full structure. Say no to one late request.
  3. Day 17 Full structure. Add your 2-minute plan to the start.
  4. Day 18 Full structure on your busiest day of the week.
  5. Day 19 Full structure. Check if you feel more rested this week.
  6. Day 20 A weekend with zero work checks.
  7. Day 21 Final review with your coach. Write your WFH rules on one page.

Habits in this plan

What your coach does

  • Daily check-in. A quick message to see how today went.
  • Adjusts when you slip. Missed a day or two? The plan changes, you keep going.
  • Weekly review. Every 7 days you look at what worked and set up the next phase.

What you'll have by day 21

  • Fixed start and end times you actually keep
  • Lunch and short breaks away from the screen
  • A shutdown ritual that stops work leaking into evenings
  • Weekends with no work checks

Questions

My team works across time zones. Can I still have fixed hours?

Yes. Your coach helps you set core hours and one agreed overlap window, so you stay reachable without being always on.

What if I miss a day?

Pick up the next day and never miss twice in a row. Your coach helps you restart without starting over.

Can I change the plan?

Yes. Your coach adjusts tasks, times and difficulty to fit your schedule. The plan is a starting point, not a rulebook.

Can I do this plan without a coach?

Yes. Everything is on this page. A coach makes it far more likely you reach day 21 by checking in daily and adjusting when life gets in the way.

Ready for day 1? Your coach is.

A real coach builds your 21-day routine, checks in daily, and makes sure you don't ghost your goals.
